Georgetown

Head north of Round Rock on I-35 and you’ll hit Georgetown, the picturesque county seat of Williamson County. Georgetown is the proud home to the first university in Texas, Southwestern University, which was founded in 1873. The private, Methodist liberal arts college hosts around 2,000 students who help bring a lively vibe to the quaint town. The town square, composed of Victorian architecture and the Williamson County Courthouse, has been dubbed “The Most Beautiful Town Square in Texas.”
